Nourish to Flourish is a class designed to help you rebuild your relationship with food by uncovering the real science behind nutrition and dispelling the myths we’ve been taught by mainstream media.

In this class, we’ll explore how the foods you eat impact every system in your body, from energy levels to mood and long-term health. You’ll learn to identify which foods help your body thrive, and which may be throwing it out of balance. And this lack of balance can even cause a domino effect that impacts your everyday life. We’ll also examine how the modern food industry has shifted what’s on our plates through chemical additives and processing, and how we can make the best choices in light of these realities. Throughout the course, you’ll gain practical, evidence-based tools for nourishing your body with confidence and clarity. We’ll debunk popular nutrition myths, discuss the powerful connection between food and healing, and touch on the role exercise plays in overall wellness. This class emphasizes science-backed nutrition education that you can apply to your own life. As a Health and Exercise Science major at Colorado State University in my third year of study, I’ve spent years diving deep into the truth behind what we eat and how it affects us. I’ve learned how much of today’s health and wellness advice simply doesn’t serve the majority of people, and I’m passionate about sharing the knowledge that changed my own perspective on food. My goal is to help you see nutrition not as restriction or confusion, but as empowerment and self-care. We’ll meet once a week in an open, engaging setting that encourages curiosity and discussion. Each session will focus on a specific nutrition topic, supported by real scientific information rather than trends or fads. I’ll also take time to explore participants’ personal interests and questions, ensuring the class is both informative and personally meaningful. Together, we’ll uncover how food can truly help you flourish from the inside out.
