My class will be centered around fluid art, but I will also have lessons in fine art. I believe in the therapeutic qualities of expression through creation, because it's where I found healing in my life. My students will learn the technical side of art, such as holding a paintbrush properly, applying specific pressure to create a desired line, and all the different techniques for different effects in fluid and fine art pieces. I will also ensure my students will learn to be present in their creations and can let go in my class as they create art, without fear of judgment, so they can discover the therapy that artistic expression provides.
I am the ideal instructor because my lessons are created from my passion for art. My desired outcome for my students after taking my course is for them to have the confidence to express themselves creatively. This desire stems from what art provided me, a healing nature and artistic confidence, which changed my life. I will conduct my class positively and give students feedback with a loving heart and an open mind. I will never judge another's art negatively, and always constructively. Everyone is an artist in their own right. Most people don't believe it for themselves. This is where my job was born.
