## Motherhood Does Not Pause for Perimenopause Many women begin transitioning into perimenopause while still actively raising children—sometimes in homes full of teenagers, younger kids, partners, responsibilities… and yes, even pets. Yet despite being surrounded by people, many mothers describe feeling alone in this shift. Mood changes, sleep disruption, brain fog, irritability, and emotional sensitivity can quietly alter family dynamics, often leading to guilt or the belief that something is "wrong." Nothing is wrong. You are transitioning. You are awakening. ## About Dr. Danyell Samassa Dr. Samassa brings over 30 years of experience as a doctoral-level social work professional and seasoned clinician specializing in women's mental health and family systems. She developed and oversaw a Maternal and Child Health program within a correctional setting, spent over a decade creating and teaching parenting curriculum, and has served as a trained doula supporting women through prenatal and postpartum transitions. Her work spans the full reproductive lifespan—from birth to motherhood to this third phase of awakening—uniquely positioning her to guide women through parenting while transitioning. Each session includes guided peer-to-peer discussion, practical grounding strategies, parenting scenario breakdowns, communication scripting and repair practice, and proactive implementation planning. This class is highly interactive—no lectures. Participants leave with a personalized regulation toolkit and a proactive parenting strategy they can apply immediately. You are not "losing yourself." You are becoming—and your family can become with you.
