Hi, I’m Gabby Balmaceda! I’m a Deaf American Sign Language instructor passionate about making learning ASL accessible, fun, and inclusive for everyone. I’ve taught children and adults, helping beginners build confidence and fluency through interactive lessons exploring Deaf culture. I grew up in a hearing family and have a teenage CODA daughter, giving me a unique perspective on both Deaf and hearing worlds. I hold an Associate of Arts from Riverside Community College, a Bachelor of Arts from California State University, San Bernardino, and a Master’s in Sign Language from Gallaudet University. My experience in hearing and Deaf universities allows me to bring a rich, well-rounded approach to teaching. In my classes, you’ll not only learn ASL but also discover the culture, history, and community behind it. Join me- you’ll gain language skills, confidence, and a deeper connection to the Deaf community. I can’t wait to see you in class!
