Improve your French through my online course, "Beginning Français". I live in a Francophone country - the Ivory Coast - and have a PhD in French. In addition, I have been teaching French for about a decade at private language schools and, since this year, in the university setting. I am excited to welcome you to start French with me!

This course is designed for beginners who have basic to no French. I will walk you through the grammar, but learn on English only as much as truly needed. As you can see, I've set the maximum number of participants in the course to 8. All lessons will be taught via Zoom.
As a West African, my take on French is different than that you might get from a European, but West Africa has a vibrant, exciting culture, a growing economy, and more French speakers than on the entire European continent. The language is the same and I will be teaching standard French.
Every week, in addition to our Monday practice sessions, I'll ask you to do a small amount (maybe 1-2 hours) of reading or speaking practice. My goal is for you to significantly improve your French by the end of our 8 weeks together.
