Have you ever wondered why one wellness plan works beautifully for one person but not for another? Ayurveda teaches us that each of us is uniquely designed, and true health comes from understanding and honoring that uniqueness. In this class, we'll explore the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda alongside the supportive practice of aromatherapy, learning simple, practical tools that can help bring more balance, energy, and well-being into everyday life.
Class Time:
8 hours of learning!
Whether you are completely new to holistic health or looking to deepen your understanding, this course is designed to meet you where you are. Students will discover how daily routines, nutrition, mindfulness, movement, and essential oils can support balance of the body, mind, and spirit. The course is designed to be interactive, experiential, and easy to understand, requiring no previous knowledge of Ayurveda or aromatherapy.
Throughout this class, students will learn the foundational principles of Ayurveda, including the Five Elements, the Three Doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha), daily routines that support health, digestion, seasonal living, stress management, and mindfulness. We will also explore the fundamentals of aromatherapy, including essential oil safety, proper dilution, methods of application, and how essential oils can be incorporated into a healthy lifestyle as a complementary wellness practice. My goal is to make these topics easy to understand by using everyday language, real-life examples, interactive activities, and practical experiences that students can immediately apply in their own lives.
By the end of the course, students will have the knowledge and confidence to begin creating simple wellness routines that align with their individual needs. They will better understand how lifestyle choices influence physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being and will develop a personalized wellness plan that integrates Ayurvedic principles with safe aromatherapy practices. More importantly, students will discover that wellness is not about perfection—it is about creating sustainable habits that support balance, resilience, and a deeper connection with themselves and the natural world.
My passion for teaching comes from nearly three decades of experience in healthcare and a lifelong desire to help others achieve lasting wellness. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Ayurveda Wellness and Integrative Health from Maharishi International University, am certified in Healthy, Happy Mothers Baby (HHMB), and have worked for many years in Western medicine as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant and phlebotomist. These experiences have given me a unique perspective that bridges evidence-informed healthcare with the holistic principles of Maharishi AyurVeda. I believe the most effective approach to health is one that honors both modern medical knowledge and the body's innate ability to heal when supported through conscious lifestyle choices.
My mission as an educator is to create a welcoming, encouraging learning environment where students of all ages feel inspired to take an active role in their own health. I strive to present Ayurveda and aromatherapy in a way that is approachable, practical, and empowering, helping students build a strong foundation for lifelong wellness. It is my hope that each person leaves this class not only with new knowledge, but with greater confidence, curiosity, and the tools to live a healthier, more balanced life.
